Upper Urinary Tract Laparoscopy & Robotic Urologic Procedures Porcine Model Course

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES;

Lectures and video presentations will be given about laparoscopic & robotic upper urinary tract urological procedures. Performing partial nephrectomy will also be covered. Hands-on training will include on Da Vinci robotic simulators, laparoscopy training boxes (with EBLUS materials) and on porcine models under anesthesia.

COURSE CONTENT:

• Lectures on components of Da Vinci surgical robotic system & laparoscopy
• Lectures on robotic & laparoscopy instruments
• Video presentations & lectures on upper urinary tract laparoscopy & robotic urologic procedures
• Hands-on training on robotic simulatiors & laparoscopy training boxes
• Hands-on training on porcine models under anesthesia (procedures to be performed depending on time):
  – Performing port placement
  – Performing partial nephrectomy, nephrectomy
  – Performing ureteral injury repair, uretero-ureterostomy, pyeloplasty
  – Performing complications management (ileal injury, bowel injury, vascular injury, ureteral injury repair)
