Located on the ground floor, the RMK AIMES Advanced Interventional and Surgical Training Center offers a unique hands-on training experience on live tissue and anatomical specimens (animal and cadaver) using 20 surgical stations each fully-equipped with cutting-edge OR conditions (medical gases, and latest high-definition laparoscopic towers and surgical equipment). With strict adherence to principles of respect for ethical values and dedication to scientific innovation and continuous improvement, surgeons and interventionists get the opportunity to learn or improve upon their skills in a fail-safe state-of-the-art environment.
Dedicated to prepare professionals to meet today’s healthcare needs and improve patient care across the globe, RMK AIMES specializes in providing a realistic training environment for healthcare providers at all levels of experience and can replicate nearly any clinical/medical environment through the use of standardized patients (specially trained actors), medium and high-fidelity mannequins, and task trainers. RMK AIMES includes many skills laboratories, and a 12-station Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Simulation Center built in compliance with OSCE and simulation gold standards and best practices for the best possible learning experience.
With a multitude of classrooms and amphitheaters of various sizes, spacious lobby, and conference area, RMK AIMES is an ideal location to host scientific events, conferences and meetings. State-of-the-art audiovisual infrastructure allowing the broadcast of surgeries and procedures performed anywhere in the Koç University Health Sciences Campus to any classroom or amphitheater, and exceptional friendly service together from an integral part of the RMK AIMES experience.

- 9 interventional and surgical working stations (8 participant and 1 master) that can be configure for:
- laparoscopic surgery
- microscopic surgery
- open surgery
- Fully Equipped with medical gases (Oxygen, CO2, Air, Vacuum) and surgical lighting
- Audio-Video recording and broadcasting capabilities to anywhere in the facility or worldwide on the master station
- Simultaneous translation capability from/to any desired language
