  • Professor Özmen received 6 international awards for studies conducted with TUBITAK scholarship.
  • Won  EURAPS (European Association of Plastic Surgeons) Young Scholarship Award and studied craniofacial surgery in Sahlgrenska Academy, Sweden in 2004.

  • Gained the first rank for the Certified Wound Expert ICW Certificate in Germany in 2007.

  • Member of Tissue Transplantation Scientific Committee of Ministry of Health since 2010.
  • Member of Turkish Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, Association of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Turkish Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, International Society of Plastic Surgery, European Rhinoplasty Society, Turkish Association of Hair Transplant and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
  • Authored more than 80 articles published in international peer-review journals.
  • Authored more than 50 articles  published in national peer-review journals.
  • His studies were cited more than 1,600 times.
