  • He was visiting lecturer at St. Vincet Medical Center of South California University in 1999.
  • He was granted the Hacettepe University Research Award in 2001.
  • He was granted the title of “Associate Professor” in 2005 and “Professor” in 2011.
  • He gained the “Young Scientist with Superior Success (GEBİP)” of Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) in 2007.
  • He received the Istanbul University Prof. Meliha Terzioğlu Science Award in 2008.
  • He received the Health Sciences Promotion Award of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in 2009.
  • He was Head of the Neuroradiology Department, Istanbul School of Medicine, Istanbul University 2011 to -2016.
  • He got the Trainer Neuroradiologist diploma of the European Society of Neuroradiology in 2011.
  • He was elected to the Committee of Editors of the American Journal of Neuroradiology, the official journal of the American Society of Neuroradiology, in 2018.

    • Vascular diseases of brain and spine and endovascular treatments,
    • Endovascular treatments of intracranial aneurysms,
    • Intracranial and spinal arteriovenous malformations (AVM),
    • Endovascular treatments of cerebrovascular diseases,
    • Intracranial and spinal arterio-venous fistula,
    • Percutaneous biopsies,
    • Percutaneous drainage.
