- He gained the “Young Scientist with Superior Success (GEBİP)” of Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) in 2007.
- He received the Istanbul University Prof. Meliha Terzioğlu Science Award in 2008.
- He received the Health Sciences Promotion Award of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) in 2009.
- He was Head of the Neuroradiology Department, Istanbul School of Medicine, Istanbul University 2011 to -2016.
- He got the Trainer Neuroradiologist diploma of the European Society of Neuroradiology in 2011.
- He was elected to the Committee of Editors of the American Journal of Neuroradiology, the official journal of the American Society of Neuroradiology, in 2018.

- Vascular diseases of brain and spine and endovascular treatments,
- Endovascular treatments of intracranial aneurysms,
- Intracranial and spinal arteriovenous malformations (AVM),

- Percutaneous biopsies,
- Percutaneous drainage.
