This course ** aims to train healthcare personnel for the most common life-threatening medical conditions, how to recognise them, how to conduct a quick and accurate clinical assessment, respond, and effectively manage in the setting of a dental practice.
Participants will learn about to perform Basic Life Support (BLS) and the use of Automated External Defibrillation (AED) until the arrival of the cardiac arrest team and participate as members of that team alongside common medical emergencies and emergency drug administration.
Course Objectives
- Recognise and manage the deteriorating patient using the ABCDE approach
- Demonstrate BLS and AED use in line with current international guidelines
- Provide brief information to manage important medical emergencies and use emergency drugs in dental practice

** This course is in accordance with the requirements of UK Resuscitation Council guidelines for Immediate Life Support and medical emergencies, and 2020 AHA Guidelines.
At the end of the course, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to the participants who successfully complete the course.
